Birthday Dreams relies on community support to achieve our mission and make a difference in the life of a child –
one birthday at a time. Because we are a 501C 3 nonprofit organization, any donation is tax deductible to the extent
permitted by law. We accept the following:
Cash Donations:
Cash donations are the most effective way to support the children we serve because we can purchase
exactly what we need. You can make cash gifts in a number of different ways, including:
TRIBUTE GIFTS:
Do you know someone who has a birthday coming up? Perhaps an anniversary
or retirement? If so, consider the most thoughtful gift of all – a donation to Birthday
Dreams in their honor. We will send them a personal note letting them know of your
thoughtfulness and generosity and how, together, you have brought a smile to a child in need.
PLEDGE YOUR BIRTHDAY:
Everyone is doing it these days! Posting birthday fundraisers on Facebook.
You can too. You could also just ask friends and family to send a gift to Birthday Dreams in your
honor. We’ll make sure they get a nice thank you, and you’ll get multiple birthday cards from
thoughtful friends and family.
HOLIDAY GIVING:
The holidays are a magical time. Consider passing that magic along to Birthday
Dreams with a holiday cash gift in honor of a loved one. We’ll send them a special holiday card
with the message, “Do Not Open Until the Holidays” on the envelope.
In-kind donations:
Yes! We accept many types of in-kind donations. Popular in-kind gifts to our organization include birthday cakes, cupcakes, punch,
party supplies, toys, gift cards, children’s wish list items, and age appropriate books. PLEASE contact us prior to making your in-kind donation
to make sure we can utilize what you have to offer.

Volunteer Support:
Birthday Dreams is blessed with an army of volunteers dedicated to bringing smiles to
kids who are homeless on their birthdays. But we always need more. Volunteers can help
us in the following ways:
- Wrap presents
- Decorate party gift bags
- Organize parties
- Deliver parties
- Help to stage group parties with face painting and games
Bequests:
A gift through your will is a simple and effective way to make a huge impact on the future of this
organization and what we do for homeless children. You can donate a specific amount, a
percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after all other commitments are made.

Donations of appreciated stock:
Donations of stock often allow individuals to make larger gifts than they would normally give. Our policy is to
immediately sell the stock and turn it into cash. For tax purposes, you will be credited with the average between
the high and low value of the stock on the day it was donated. Please contact us in advance if this is how you choose
to give your support.
