We help homeless children celebrate their birthdays in 3 ways.
We currently provide monthly, on-site birthday parties at several homeless shelters located in Seattle, Maple Valley, Tacoma and North Bend.
We provide cake, ice cream, games, and party supplies, and those celebrating their birthday receive wonderful birthday gifts. At the hosted parties,
Birthday Dreams' volunteers attend the birthday parties. They play games with the kids, assist with craft projects, serve cake and ice-cream. They hand out gifts to the
birthday kids and goody bags to all of the guests. Notable past events have included clowns, magics shows, inflatable toys, carnival games, pony rides and other entertainment.
We currently provide monthly, on-site non-hosted birthday parties at multiple homeless shelters located in Seattle, and Marysville. We provide cake, ice cream, games,
party supplies, goody bags, and those celebrating their birthday receive wonderful birthday gifts. At the non-hosted parties, Birthday Dreams' volunteers do not attend
the birthday parties. The shelter staff, volunteers, and residents celebrate on their own. Volunteer delivery drivers are still needed to bring the fun to the shelter.
In many cases, group birthday parties are not viable, so we provide a Birthday-in-a-Box. Birthday boxes are centered around a fun theme that is consistent with the
child’s interests. The party theme is chosen by the child or parent so that Birthday Dreams can personalize their party experience. The average cost is $150.
Each Birthday-in-a-Box contains everything a parent/guardian needs to throw a birthday party for their child and up to 16 guests. The party is tailored to the child's wishes.
A typical box has the following:
